FAT DISSOLVING Injections

Erin Aesthetics utilises a fat-dissolving cosmetic injectable medication, commonly used to target fat cells under the chin. This causes the permanent destruction of fat cells. Once this fat has been removed this creates definition and angle to the jawline.

ABOUT FAT DISSOLVING

When injected into submental fat under the chin, these fat dissolving injections cause the permanent destruction of the fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.

The primary role is to remove fat. However, mild skin tightening can also occur due to the stimulation of fibroblasts.

Once this fat has been removed this creates definition and angle to the jawline as this is often blurred by excess volume in the area.

Results are permanent. Once the fat cells are destroyed they cannot regenerate.

TREATMENT

Treatment takes approx. 45 mins including consultation with doctor, paperwork, before photos, numbing and injections. Subsequent treatments take 30 mins.

Response to treatment varies between individuals and so it is difficult to predict exactly how many treatments will be required, however commonly between 2 and 4 treatments are sufficient.

Full results are seen approx. 8 weeks after treatment. Subsequent treatments are recommended 4-6 weeks later.

PRICING

Each treatment starts at $1,000. A minimum of 2 treatments are required for visible results.

+ What should I expect during the treatment?

All injectable treatments require a thorough consultation with a Registered Nurse and consent from a Doctor prior to administration as Belkyra is a prescription medication. At consultation you can discuss your desired outcomes and any concerns you may have. Infomed consent is obtained prior to treatment after your risks and side effects as well as aftercare have been discussed.

Topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment.

Belkyra is then administered using a fine needle. Technique varies depending on the individual.

+ Are the results immediate and how long do results last?

Most patients experience visible improvements in the appearance of their chin profile within 2 - 4 treatments. A minimum of 2 treatments is recommended. Up to 6 treatments may be administered, spaced at least 4-6 weeks apart. Belkyra injections permanently destroys double chin fat. Once the fat cells have been destroyed they will never return.

+ Will it tighten the skin under my neck?

Yes, clinical results show an improvement in the tone and firmness of the skin under the chin following treatment. While the treatment’s primary objective is to remove fat, it can also have a pleasing tightening effect on the under-chin area.
