Small amounts of dermal filler a type of under eye filler are used to treat the tear trough and reduce the appearance of under eye bags and dark circles. This treatment is not suitabable for every patient with tear trough hollowing. Cheek filler may be recommended before the tear trough can be treated in some individuals.This will be assessed and discussed at consultation.
The tear trough should never be overfilled. A tear trough is a natural feature of the face and should never be fully taken away.
The cannula technique is used in this area for improved safety and to minimise the risk of bruising.

You should be seeing the results of your under eye fillers for approximately 12 to 18 months. This can vary from patient to patient.
+ What should I expect after treatment?
Bruising and swelling can occur, this may take 10-14 days to fully subside. Makeup should be avoided until the next day. Avoid alcohol, exercise and nurofen for 24-48 hours post treatment.
+ How long until I see results?
You'll notice benefits right away, however due to potential swelling and bruising, full results are seen at 14 days post treatment.
