Erin Aesthetics (Subiaco & Hillarys, Perth WA) is a nurse-led cosmetic clinic bound by the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. What we collect
Only what we need to care for you safely: your identity and contact details, medical history, medications and allergies, treatment records, clinical photographs, and payment details. We collect this directly from you wherever possible.
Why we collect it and how we use it
To provide safe, appropriate treatment — this is the main purpose.
For things you would reasonably expect: appointment reminders, recalls, and internal quality checks.
For marketing — including before/after photos — only ever with your separate written consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Your clinical photographs
Photographs taken before and after treatment are part of your health record and are stored with the same protections as all your clinical information. They are never used in marketing or social media without your separate, specific written consent.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your information for others' marketing. We only disclose it: to other health practitioners with your consent (e.g. a referral to your GP or a dermatologist); where the law requires it (such as mandatory safety notifications); or to prevent a serious threat to someone's life or health. Our software providers are bound by privacy obligations.
How we protect it
Your records are held in a secure clinical system with individual staff logins and role-based access. Paper forms are locked away and scanned into your record. Photographs are taken on clinic-owned devices only. All staff sign confidentiality agreements that continue after they leave.
Your rights
Access — you can ask for a copy of your records at any time; we respond within 30 days.
Correction — if something is inaccurate, ask us and we will fix it or note your view on the record.
Anonymity — you may ask to deal with us anonymously where practicable, though safe treatment usually requires accurate identification.
Withdraw marketing consent — at any time, and we will stop using your images in future material.
